MOBOTIX and Unitop keep Donbass Arena secure, whatever the occasion

Ukraine's recently opened premier stadium Donbass Arena, plays host to the much-anticipated 2012 European Football Championship, as well as concerts, exhibitions and conferences. The variety of events to be hosted at Donbass necessitated a versatile security system. Unitop, the official MOBOTIX partner in Ukraine and established provider of IP-based security solutions, successfully rose to the challenge. Over the last few years, Unitop has worked with MOBOTIX on over 50 major installations such as railways and shipyards. Expertly deployed with MOBOTIX's leading surveillance technology, Unitop's solution ensures maximum security for visitors to Donbass, whatever the occasion.

650 MOBOTIX cameras were installed at Donbass, including the M12, D12, Q22, D22, and the M22, along with the MxControlCenter IP video management software. The efficiency of the entire installation lies in the concept of decentralisation developed by MOBOTIX. With decentralisation, a high-speed computer and internal flash memory card are incorporated into the cameras. This enables recording and storage to take place in the cameras themselves, reducing the need for a separate PC or DVR. Other key features of the cameras include dual sensors, ensuring sharper image quality, day or night. And the durable, weatherproof housing means that maintenance is minimised.

The Mobotix solution requires fewer system components, fewer operators, and fewer cameras than solutions by other vendors. An inherently versatile solution for a versatile venue - the Mobotix solution is ‘the natural fit' for Donbass.
