The award recognises an alumni who has made a great impact in the community while achieving their personal goals

AlliedBarton Security Services, the industry’s premier provider of industry personnel, announces that Winning Futures has selected Jason Gordon, AlliedBarton Business Development Manager, as the inaugural recipient of the Sam Cupp Alumni Community Service Award.

Winning Futures is an award-winning non-profit in metro Detroit that empowers middle and high school students through mentorship programs. Named after Sam Cupp, the Winning Futures founder, the award recognises an alumni who has made a great impact in the community while achieving their personal goals.

“Jason’s commitment to helping young men and women establish a goal-oriented mindset, while maintaining that same level of desire in his own professional life, is a positive reflection of his character and a symbol of his willingness to serve the community,” said Catherine King, AlliedBarton Senior Vice President, Client Experience. “This award acknowledges his eagerness to share the values of hard work, and we’re honoured that Winning Futures has selected Jason for this award.”

Gordon has been with AlliedBarton for 10 years and served as a mentor with the Winning Futures program for 18 months. He is a 2002 graduate of Warren Mott High School where he was a member of the Winning Futures Program. He holds an Associate of Science Degree in Political Science/Criminal Justice from Macomb Community College.

In addition to the Sam Cupp Award, Gordon was the recipient of the Building Owner’s and Manager’s Association (BOMA) Emerging Leader award in November 2014. The honour is given to a BOMA member who exemplifies outstanding leadership, while going beyond the expected standards of service and professionalism.
