Retail chain needs improved surveillance

A major retailer required better surveillance video in many of its locations throughout the East Coast. Previously relying on a range of capabilities across its stores, the retail chain followed the recommendation of security integrator Setronics and now operates systems of similar design in approximately 25 locations in the region. The new blended systems feature numerous Bosch VEZ-400 mini-PTZ analogue cameras from the Advantage Line installed in the stores’ sales floor and receiving areas.

Problem: inconsistent surveillance capabilities across store locations

  • New technology was required to improve video in each store
  • Cameras must maximise coverage in sales floor and receiving areas
  • Installation could not detract from a positive customer experience inside the store

Solution: VEZ-400 mini PTZ analogue cameras with extended zoom range

  • 360 degrees of rotation and 26x optical zoom provide increased monitoring range and easier identification of objects and people
  • 600 TVL resolution and a wide dynamic range capture all the details even in scenes with bright and dark areas
  • Compact size makes the camera ideal for discrete surveillance

Results: Maximised video surveillance coverage

  • Better quality images provide improved surveillance capabilities
  • Strategically placed cameras and extended zoom range maximizes coverage in the stores
  • Mount flexibility enables the same model to be used throughout the store to improve aesthetics
  • Affordable camera ensures the system is priced to satisfy
