Geutebruck's DSP-based video encoder CAM2IP integrates analogue cameras into networks and puts intelligent video management next to the camera, where it relieves the network most.

Designed to work alongside GeViScope or re_porter CCTV platforms, CAM2IP updates existing infrastructure with high-end functionality and easy software upgrading.  The analogue camera becomes an intelligent network device which streams pictures only when required, and then always dynamically pre-sized and pre-formatted for purpose - a strategy which delivers the same excellent quality pictures using much less data, bandwidth and cost.

Thanks to Geutebruck's unique MPEG4CCTV encoding process, CAM2IP offers:

  • Event-controlled encoding
  • Demand-controlled picture formatting (using dynamic live streaming)
  • Intelligent compression - based on activity detection (or VMD) analysis
  • Dual channel streaming for simultaneous (but independent) local storage and remote picture viewing at up to 25 fps 

Fast encoding with no significant latencies means CAM2IP can be used with high-speed domes and PTZ systems, and its Power-over-Ethernet function provides the associated camera with up to 12V DC/600mA.
