SALTO'S locker solution provides security protection to mailboxes, lockers, cupboards and cabinets

The UK's leading manufacturer and supplier of lockable mailbox systems and letterbox anti-arson solutions has selected SALTO Systems to provide an electronic locking solution for its products.

The SALTO XS4 locker lock is designed to bring all the advantages of electronic access control to a lockable mailbox and is designed to provide a high level of security protection and control access to a wide range of mailboxes, lockers, cupboards, display cabinets, security boxes and more.

The lock offers the latest in state-of-the-art access control technology. Mailboxes can be incorporated into existing SALTO locking systems.

The SALTO XS4 locker lock mailbox solution offers an ergonomically designed twist operated locking handle that makes for easy use, even with wet hands, and its durable wipe clean construction makes it highly resistant to chemicals; UV radiation and physical wear and tear ensuring a long lasting, smart appearance.

The access reader is built into the locking handle and the ID carrier - key card, wristband, key fob or bracelet - is simply presented to the reader and XS4 locker lock will grant or deny access. Its built-in audit trail facility automatically records the last 1,000 operations and the battery pack, electronic components and locking mechanism are all located on the inside of the door safe from any potential vandalism or sabotage.

Steve Davies, Sales and Marketing Manager for The Safety Letterbox Company says: "Electronic mailbox control systems provide an extremely safe alternative to key operated mailbox systems, especially in housing association properties, colleges or universities where there tends to be a high turnover of people using mailboxes".

"Providing our customers with the option of fitting the latest SALTO electronic access control technology to their mailboxes underscores our position as the pioneer and leader in the field of secure letterbox units. It shows we understand the challenging security issues that can be faced by establishments and have been able to develop a range of products which meet and exceed those expectations."
