VideoIQ’s surveillance products break sales records for the first half of 2010
VideoIQ recorded more than 100 percent sales growth over the same period in 2009
VideoIQ®, the leader in video surveillance innovation, announced a record first half of 2010 with more than double the revenue of the first half of 2009. VideoIQ also acquired a record number of customers, ending the period with more than three times the customers as the same time a year ago. VideoIQ's growth was fuelled by significant adoption of two new product lines, the iCVR Dome Cameras and iCST family of cameras and encoders, as well as a strong interest in the iCVR-HD High Definition line of cameras complete with full 1080p/30fps resolution, full megapixel analytics and up to half a terabyte of onboard NVR storage, scheduled for availability in late Summer 2010.

Highlights from the first half of 2010 include:

Customer acquisition:

During the first half of 2010, VideoIQ's impressive customer list continued to grow at record pace resulting in triple the number of customers from a year ago. Growth was experienced in all major markets including financial services, critical infrastructure, municipalities, utilities, ports, high-end retail, K-12, universities and high residences in both the North American and international markets. First half customer highlights include major competitive wins and replacements in critical infrastructure, housing authorities and gated communities.

The iCVR line of dome cameras:

VideoIQ launched a complete line of iCVR dome cameras, building on the success of VideoIQ's iCVR box cameras and encoders. With up to a half terabyte of intelligent, onboard NVR storage within each camera, iCVR dome cameras eliminate the need for expensive centralised storage - reducing deployment costs, system complexity, infrastructure, time and resources. Additionally, VideoIQ's embedded, adaptive analytics automatically calibrate in minutes, allowing iCVR dome cameras to deliver superior real-time threat detection with category leading accuracy and range.

The iCST line of streaming cameras and encoders:

During the first half of 2010, VideoIQ also launched the iCST line of streaming cameras and encoders, designed for use in environments with central storage and third party video management systems. With VideoIQ's embedded, adaptive analytics, iCST cameras and encoders automatically calibrate in minutes, delivering superior real-time threat detection while reducing installation time, resources, complexity and cost. By delivering real-time alerts, iCST cameras and encoders allow operations to rapidly assess and mitigate security threats before incidents occur - preventing loss. The iCST line of streaming cameras and encoders include IP66 outdoor and indoor dome cameras, a traditional box camera for specialty lenses and housings, as well as a single channel encoder for use with any analogue or specialised cameras including thermal and PTZs.

iCVR-HD line of High Definition, full 1080p/30fps cameras:

VideoIQ also introduced the new iCVR-HD line of revolutionary dome cameras during the first half of 2010 that deliver full 1080p resolution and frame rate, zero bandwidth high definition recording, full megapixel analytics and support for IQTrack™ - automatic digital PTZ zoom and track.

iCVR-HD cameras deliver full megapixel analytics with more than two times the range of D1 analytics. Additionally, with a wider field of view and higher resolution than standard resolution cameras, VideoIQ's iCVR-HD cameras allow operators to capture greater detail and track objects for longer periods of time, delivering better context and perspective on suspicious behaviour. Finally, VideoIQ's award winning adaptive analytics are 100 percent self-calibrating, delivering category leading accuracy with no manual tuning during installation or over the life of the device.

Unlike conventional megapixel cameras, VideoIQ's iCVR-HD cameras store full 1080p video in up to a half terabyte of onboard NVR storage for months worth of recording, eliminating the need to stream high-resolution images across a network to a central NVR - reducing network traffic and bandwidth consumption by more than 90 percent. As a result, iCVR-HD cameras simplify infrastructure dramatically, and can be deployed in environments that are impractical for conventional megapixel cameras, including mixed IT networks, wireless networks, and WAN deployments.

GSA schedule 84 inclusion:

During the first half of 2010 VideoIQ announced inclusion of VideoIQ's entire line of video surveillance systems in the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 84 including iCVR dome cameras, iCVR encoders, iCST cameras, iCST encoders and View, an advanced video management system. The GSA Schedule Programme offers government agencies a simplified process for obtaining the latest information technology quality products and services, fast and cost-efficient ordering convenience, and most-favoured customer pricing. Schedule 84, specifically, authorises state and local governments to purchase from GSA alarm and signal systems, facility management systems, fire fighting and rescue equipment, law enforcement and security equipment, marine craft and related equipment, special purpose clothing, and related services.
