Stand 309 at SECURITY Essen 2008, 7 to 10 October 2008 The latest developments in the Siemens range of video surveillance products will be on show on Stand No. 309 in Hall 3, at Security Essen 2008. The 1.3 Megapixel surveillance camera range uses high quality progressive scan CCD for highest light sensitivity and optimal picture clarity, Siemens' IP cameras deliver 1.3 megapixel resolution - three times that of standard IP cameras, providing resolutions up to D1/4CIF.IP cameras, for a clearer image detail. The cameras can monitor wide spaces (such as check-in areas in airports) yet still achieve high quality, standard PAL images when digitally zooming into regions of interest. The range includes box camera models for colour, along with day/night models, and a colour fixed dome model for fast, simple installation (pre-focused, easily mounted) - and all deliver two video streams (MJPEG and MPEG4) at the same time real-time up to 25ips. This ensures highest flexibility as the streams can be optimised according to recording or transmission requirements. They also feature an innovative cropping function in MJPEG mode that allows the definition of up to five regions of interest within an image. Each region can be transmitted as a single, high-detail data stream. For protection against unauthorised access, the cameras feature integrated firewall with automatic IP filtering for enhanced IT security. The integrated microphone, combined with bi-directional audio function, complete the picture of this state-of-the-art camera range. Siemens Building Technologies recently joined the Milestone Systems' Manufacturer Alliance Programme (MAP), so it is intended to gradually integrate the Siemens IP camera portfolio into the Milestone open IP software. The initiative was based on the decision for cooperation between Milestone and Siemens to use the synergies of both companies in the fields of open IP software and high-quality IP cameras. SISTORE Recording Also on show on Stand No. 309 in Hall 3, at Security Essen 2008 will be Siemens' SISTORE, the third generation of digital video recording and transmission solutions - along with SISTORE CX ODR, the video sensor system that detects abandoned or removed objects. Research has shown that after only twelve minutes of continuous viewing of two or more sequencing monitors, operators can miss up to 45% of scene activity - and that after twenty two minutes, operators miss a massive 95% of activity. This means that most critical situations would not be detected by human operators. The SISTORE CX range of digital codecs includes analytical software based on algorithms that react to pre-defined events in order to support security personnel. SISTORE CX ODR is a video sensor system which uses the very latest in Siemens' algorithm-based technology to detect objects which have been moved or left behind - for instance: boxes, suitcases or even vehicles where parking is not allowed. This makes it the ideal surveillance solution for a wide range of applications like airports, stations, stadia, museums, galleries and stores. Furthermore it can be used to monitor emergency exits and escape routes wherever objects should not be left because of the trip-hazard they present. |
