Tradition Financial Services chooses Win-Pak access control solution from Honeywell SecurityPublished on 25 April 2006  Honeywell today announced that the WIN-PAKTM access control system has been installed at Tradition UK Ltd, a global leader in the brokering of financial and non-financial products, to ensure a high level of security and fast access for authorised personnel at their London offices. The implementation was managed by, NSI Gold installers West London Security. Maintaining security has always been a high priority for Tradition, which operates several offices in London. Mark Heneke, Tradition's Facilities Manager contacted Honeywell Security with a requirement for an access control system that would enable fast access for authorised personnel. Mark was also looking for a system, which would not require cards or access pin codes to avoid security breaches as a result of employees passing on cards or codes. Honeywell and West London Security recommended the Honeywell WIN-PAK access control solution due to its proven reliability and flexibility. To meet Mark's concerns about cards and pin codes, the system was designed to use fingerprint scanners from Bioscrypt, the fingerprint recognition specialists. The Honeywell WIN-PAK access control system offers customers a sophisticated, fully functional software package, which can integrate with a variety of other security systems, including Fusion digital video recorders and Galaxy intruder panels. WIN-PAK also integrates seamlessly with Bioscrypt's fingerprint technology. At Tradition, fingerprint scanners have been installed at all secured doors inside the buildings. Employee fingerprints are scanned and entered into the WIN-PAK database where the access ID is created and stored. The WIN-PAK system is managed from one central location by the Facilities Manager, who controls authorisation levels for each member of staff across all buildings and can restrict or widen access as necessary. Tradition provided training for all members of staff to ensure that the new system would work successfully. Taking a cautious approach, they introduced the new access control in stages to allow staff to adjust to it, before implementing it throughout. West London Security completed the installation outside of normal working hours to ensure minimum disruption to Tradition's business. Facilities Manager, Mark Henke comments: "We are very pleased with the results of this biometric access control system and the high standard of work carried out by West London Security." Following the success of the new access control solution, West London Security will be providing additional security services for Tradition.
